Step into the sun-bleached elegance of Provence with the Avignon Garden Rococo Cane-Back Dining Set - a six seater Louis XV style dining set pairing an oval dining table with cane back dining chairs. Rocaille shell cartouches and acanthus-leaf scrollwork trail across the table's apron and each chair's crest rail, the defining vocabulary of 18th-century French Rococo furniture, reinterpreted here in the relaxed, hand-carved spirit of French Provincial furniture making.

Cabriole legs sweep to carved scroll feet, echoing the S- and C-curves that gave the Rococo style - from the French "rocaille," meaning shell- or rock-work - its name. Chair backs and seats feature natural cane, a lightweight, breathable technique used in French furniture since the 17th century for garden rooms and warm-weather dining. A two-tone painted finish - muted sage green worn back to ivory along every carved edge - recalls sun-faded Provençal farmhouse furniture rather than the gilded court pieces of Versailles.
