Inspired by the interwar architectural ensemble surrounding Mumbai’s Oval Maidan (1930s), this Art Deco sofa set reflects the restrained elegance that defined the city’s globally significant Deco movement. Characterized by its continuous crescent back, integrated tub arms, and disciplined vertical channeling, the silhouette recalls the aerodynamic language of late Art Deco interiors rather than earlier geometric Parisian prototypes.

The gently curved backrest envelops the sitter in a manner consistent with club seating of the 1930s, while the plinth-style wooden base grounds the form - an architectural gesture echoing the strong horizontality of Bombay’s Deco façades. Fine piping articulates the seams with precision, reinforcing the tailored modernity associated with Streamline Moderne refinement.
