Period Inspiration:

Crafted from solid teak wood and finished with a deep rosewood-tone polish, this two-seater Art Deco settee is built around a striking sculptural motif: a pair of full circular hoop arms that curve down from the backrest to form the front legs. The circle and streamlined arc were signature devices of 1920s–30s Art Deco design, and this settee's silhouette recalls the sculptural resort furniture once found on the terraces and sunrooms of the French Riviera's grand hotels. 

The backrest and seat are each divided into two panels of fine hand-caning, a time-honored craft valued for its breathability, lightness, and warm honey tone against dark polished wood. A rear stretcher rail and stepped block feet anchor the frame, balancing the open, circular geometry with quiet structural stability. Solid teak offers natural durability and resistance to daily wear, while the rosewood-color polish adds richness and depth to the grain. This caned teak settee works beautifully as statement seating for a living room, sunroom, veranda, entryway, or reading nook - an Art Deco loveseat pairing sculptural history with everyday comfort.
