Characterized by its fluted uprights, rosette junction blocks, and restrained symmetry, the form reflects a deliberate departure from the fluidity of Louis XV toward architectural clarity.

The gently arched chapeau de gendarme profile of both headboard and footboard frames upholstered panels, finished with precise nailhead trim - a detail more commonly associated with 19th - early 20th century revival adaptations, where comfort and tactility were integrated into classical frameworks.
