Period Inspiration:

This Art Deco bed draws intellectual lineage from the Parisian Right Bank ateliers that shaped Art Deco between 1925 and 1935. In the years following the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs, furniture design shifted toward disciplined geometry, stepped profiles, and architectural framing - an evolution clearly expressed in this composition.

The upholstered headboard features a radiating linear motif derived from stylised sunburst geometry, a recurring decorative language of early-to-mature Deco. Flanking stepped panels echo the tiered façades and interior millwork of interwar Paris. The hardwood frame is structured with rectilinear clarity and grounded by block feet - consistent with French and Anglo-European bedroom suites of the period.

There is no excess ornamentation; visual authority emerges from proportion, symmetry, and relief detailing. This is not a reproduction but a historically informed interpretation of Parisian geometric Art Deco, translated for contemporary interiors with material integrity and architectural presence.
