Designed for comfort rather than display, chairs of this character were often found in private libraries, smoking rooms, and estate studies, where they provided a place for reading, correspondence, and conversation.

Crafted from solid teak wood and upholstered in premium genuine leather, the chair features a generously proportioned winged back that traces its ancestry to the classic English wing chair. Originally developed to capture the warmth of the hearth, the wingback became one of Britain's most enduring furniture forms. The exposed timber frame lends architectural definition to the silhouette, while individually applied brass nailhead trim reflects traditional upholstery practices long associated with fine English furniture making.
