Period Inspiration:

Rooted in the great tradition of British club furniture of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, The Savoy Club Chesterfield Suite recalls the deep-buttoned leather seating that defined London’s gentlemen’s clubs and grand hotel lounges. The classic Chesterfield form - rolled arms equal in height to the back, deep diamond tufting, and hand-applied brass nailhead trim - emerged in Britain during the Victorian period and remained a symbol of cultivated interiors through the Edwardian era and into the interwar years.

This 3+2+1 leather sofa set preserves those defining proportions: low, enveloping arms; generously padded seat cushions; and turned hardwood bun feet typical of traditional English upholstery workshops. The full-grain Italian leather is finished to encourage a natural patina, echoing the richly aged surfaces found in historic club rooms. Individually hand-tufted and traditionally detailed, the suite reflects the craftsmanship associated with London upholstery houses that supplied institutions, private libraries, and hotel smoking rooms. Substantial yet refined, it is an enduring expression of classic British leather furniture.
