Rooted in the restrained elegance of mid-20th-century Italian salon seating, The Torino Channel-Back Salon Sofa reflects the transition from pre-war club furniture to the cleaner architectural upholstery that emerged across northern Italy in the 1930s–1950s. Turin - long associated with precision craftsmanship, automobile coachbuilding, and disciplined modernism - fostered a culture where upholstery became structured, linear, and materially honest. The vertical channel-back form seen here echoes seating produced for executive lounges, grand hotels, and private salons of the Italian Novecento period.

Upholstered in full-grain Italian aniline leather that will develop a deep patina over time, the sofa balances architectural geometry with tailored comfort. The squared arms, hand-applied nailhead lines, and raised timber legs reference Italian modernist proportions while preserving the tactile richness of traditional leather upholstery.
