Named after Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers and spring, The Chambre de Flore Méridienne draws inspiration from the elegant méridiennes that adorned the private apartments, boudoirs, and intimate salons of late eighteenth-century France. Favoured during the Louis XVI period, the méridienne represented a refined evolution of the chaise longue - a graceful furnishing designed for reading, correspondence, music, and afternoon repose.

Handcrafted from solid teak wood, this piece captures the balanced elegance of French Neoclassicism through its gently arched back, scrolling ends, and restrained architectural form. The upholstered frame is dressed in a floral textile inspired by the botanical silks and woven fabrics that became highly fashionable in aristocratic interiors during the reign of Louis XVI. Individually applied brass nailhead trim accentuates the silhouette, while the exposed timber frame provides visual structure and enduring strength.

The generous seat cushion and supportive back create an inviting place for contemplation and leisure.
