Rooted in the sculptural traditions of the Low Countries, The Ghent Baroque Revival Coffee Table draws upon the opulent furniture vocabulary that flourished in 17th-century Flanders. The richly carved apron, animated by continuous foliate scrollwork, reflects the influence of Antwerp and Ghent workshops - centres renowned for their virtuoso woodcarving during the Baroque period.

The table is supported by robust baluster-turned legs - an enduring hallmark of the Anglo-Dutch William & Mary era -united by a stretcher base with carved blocks, providing both structural integrity and visual rhythm. The pronounced paw feet ground the composition with a sense of permanence, echoing motifs seen in Northern European courtly interiors.

Executed in a walnut-toned hardwood, the piece embodies the Baroque principle of movement through mass - where ornament and structure are inseparable. Designed as a centre table for contemporary interiors, it carries forward a lineage of craftsmanship that privileges depth, shadow, and tactile richness.
