Period Inspiration:

In 1920s Gothenburg, the workshop Boet reimagined the sofa as sculpture, trading straight lines for the soft, confident curve that came to define Swedish Art Deco. The Gothenburg Curved Deco Settee stands in that lineage: a gently bowed, crescent-plan frame wrapped in a channel-tufted back that rises in even, rounded flutes, held by rolled bolster arms and set on turned, ribbed bun feet - a Victorian-era detail Swedish workshops kept even as their silhouettes modernised. A three-panel seat, edged in rope-twist welting, completes the profile.

Upholstered in plush camel velvet, this settee belongs to The Collectors' Anglo-Indian workshop tradition - European and Asian period forms, executed by hand for daily use rather than a museum shelf. It is offered in the manner of Gothenburg's 1930s originals, not as a reproduction of any single named design.
